Hardware giant Bunnings will be opening a mammoth five-storey warehouse in Sydney’s Northern Beaches later this year and it’s now on the hunt to fill 120 jobs. The $48 million warehouse will be the first in the state to offer three storeys of retail.
The new Frenchs Forest Bunnings warehouse will span over 20,000 square metres and will include a cafe, playground, outdoor garden and a car park with capacity for 400 vehicles. The store will be located on the corner of Warringah and Allambie Road.
Bunnings regional manager operations east Alan Harvey told Yahoo Finance the warehouse was due to open in the coming months and recruitment had now kicked off.

“Bunnings Frenchs Forest is scheduled to open in late 2025, bringing a new warehouse format to the local community,” Harvey said.
“Recruitment for our new store is underway, with around 120 roles to be filled. We’re focused on building a team that reflects the diversity of the area, and welcome applications from people of all ages and backgrounds looking for full-time, part-time or casual work.”
Roles being recruited include customer service positions across trades, warehousing, forklift operation, cafe service and general retail.

Bunnings’ salaries vary by role and are not currently listed for the new Frenchs Forest warehouse specifically. But to give you an idea, other warehouses are currently offering $27 to $28 per hour for customer service team member roles.
Bunnings previously told Yahoo Finance it had an AI chatbot interview process for hiring certain roles, which it uses in the “early stages” of the application to allow it to “review every candidate” in a shorter time frame.
“We rely on the expertise of our internal recruitment team when selecting candidates and all applications are reviewed by our team, followed by in-person interviews to ensure their skills and experience make them a good fit,” a Bunnings spokesperson said.
Bunnings has 310 warehouses and smaller format stores across Australia and generated $18.97 billion in revenue in 2024.
Bunnings opened a new store in Portland, Victoria in June, spanning 5,300 square metres with more than 50 locals employed.
It is set to reopen Brisbane’s Oxley warehouse in September after it was destroyed in the 2022 floods, while a new store in Perth’s Maddington has also been given the green light.
