Gavin Adcock might be the rowdiest guy in country music, and if you don’t believe it just check the headlines.
The former college football player is just a couple of weeks removed from charging offstage and into a crowd to call out Nickelback’s sound guy. Again, he certainly gives off the vibe of a guy who probably isn’t afraid to mix it up.
Still, some fans were stunned when Adcock shared a photo to Instagram on Wednesday showing off a badly blackened and busted eye and a bloody lip.
“(Expletive) sound guy,” Shane Profitt wrote.
“Hope you good buddy!” the Country Music Tunes account replied.
“(Expletive) man!!!” another wrote.
“Nickelback’s sound guy?” another wrote.
A few of Adcock’s followers did a bit more investigating, though, and figured out what they were looking at.
Makeup.
“Almost got me for a second,” another person responded. “Good make up artist. Looking forward to the music video.”
“Good makeup artist!” another wrote. “Can’t wait to see the video brother! Killin the game.”
Several hours later, Adcock cleared it all up by showing clips from a pair of music videos — “Last One To Know,” and “Morning Bail,” — which he said are slated to drop on Friday.
And, yes, he is sporting the makeup job in one of the videos.
So, no Nickelback’s sound guy didn’t finally catch up with Adcock on this one.
Adcock is one of country music’s fastest rising young stars.
He made headlines this week, too, after Morgan Wallen welcomed him to his management company, Sticks Management.
